Party like there is no tomorrow...

This past weekend was crazy. My little, big brother turned 27 on the 8th. Little because he is younger than me, bigger because he is taller. And my sister in law threw him a surprise birthday party on Friday nite, which included his close friends. It is so nice to see how much people love you. The dinner almost got ruined when we had to wait at the restaurant for an hour because they do not reserve tables. (Note: Always check with management about reservations when planning a dinner party at a restaurant) But none of his friends went home. We just waited and like they say good things come to those who wait. The restaurant hooked us up with complimentary appetizers for all 30 of us. It was a great dinner and my little, big brother really enjoyed himself.
On Saturday, we celebrated my bestfriend, Liz's birthday. We have been bestfriends since we were in elementary school. We lived on the same street and grew up going to the same church. I am the only girl in my family. I have 3 brothers, but Liz was always the sister that I was suppose to have. We both became single mothers at a very young age. And we struggled through the years to define ourselves. When most girls were out defying life, conquering the world, we were taking care of our kids. Like I said in earlier post, we live our lives not by the rules of society. And we have seemed to over come it all. But those things have made us stronger. So I guess what I am trying to say, that tomorrow is never promised. Enjoy the company of your loves ones and make great memories. Great stories to tell the kids later on in life, or shall I say not tell the kids. Today is my sister in law's birthday and who knows where or what we will do. But we will be out having fun, enjoying life, and making memories.

Happy Birthday to all of them and you, October babies!!
