· The overall look was bright and fresh to play off her colorful dress by Versace.
· On her eyes, I first applied COVERGIRL Liquline Blast Eyeliner in Blue Boom along the lash line and then blended COVERGIRL Intense ShadowBlast in Blue Bomb over the entire lid. I used COVERGIRL Intense ShadowBlast in Beige Blaze on the inner corner of the eye and then blended COVERGIRL Intense ShadowBlast in Forever Pink all the way up to the brow brown. The blue and pink colors mixed together created the gorgeous lavender shade. Intense ShadowBlast worked really well for this look because not only did the liquid formula blend together easily, but the built-in primer allowed it to stay in place all night.
· I finished the eye with NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara in Black on the top and bottom lashes and slightly smudged it into the lash line for a bold look.
· I highlighted her cheeks with a coral shimmer blush and then finished the look with COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in Temptress, the perfect balance of pink and coral for lips that really popped.
· Katy Perry won the biggest award of the night: Video of The Year!

My thoughts: I like that this line is intended to help stop acne before it even start. You never know when acne will sneak up on your face. It uses skin-soothers like cucumber and green tea extracts that leave skin feeling soft, so no more redness or irritation. I really like the cleansing pads that can be used in place of a regular rinse-off cleanser at bedside or whenever you can't get to a sink. All the products use Microclear Technology and have salicylic acid, that helped fight acne. It is a complete product line that does the job.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Kids all over Texas are headed back to class, but for the thousands of children battling childhood cancer, their families are planning doctors’ visits and hospitalizations. Heroes for Children (HFC), a Texas-based non-profit, helps families in these situations, understanding that a cancer diagnosis for one child affects the whole family.
HFC provides financial assistance to families to pay for expenses such as rent, utilities, gas, and car repairs. They also offer social assistance programs to benefit the families emotionally, including Movie Days, Holiday Heroes, and Valentine’s Dinner for the parents.
Larissa Linton co-founded HFC when her daughter, Taylor, lost her battle with leukemia. Larissa benefitted from an outpouring of support from family and friends during Taylor’s treatment, but saw other families in the same situation without any assistance. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, parents often have to leave their jobs, move the family, and struggle to pay everyday expenses. Pregnancy Diaries-5 Month Ultrasound
I turned 20 weeks today. Yesterday I had 2 doctor's appointments. One was a check up with my OB/GYN. The baby looked good. The heart beat was 159. And all test results were great too. But the most exciting visit I had been waiting for was my 5 month ultrasound visit. Let me recap at 14 weeks I alomost lost my baby. The doctor put me on bed rest for 1 week and a half. I bleed for 4 days straight during the bed rest period. And the doctor had said she might even put me on bed rest until I turned 20 weeks. Luckily my baby is strong and when I returned for a check up at week 15, the baby was doing great, and the bleeding had stopped. I finally hit the 20 week mark. Every week we turn is another blessing to us. The 5 month ultrasound was great. The Specialist were checking everything on the baby. 2 arms, fingers, 2 legs, kidneys, heart, etc.. Even though my baby does not like ultrasounds and refused to cooperate, an hour later and they had all their tests. And we even were able to confirm the sex of the baby. Guess what I'm having?
I am having a baby girl. YEAH!!! My husband, son, and I are so excited. She is weighing 13 ounces right now and is looking very healthy.
We are not out of HIGH RISK just yet. My placenta is really low. They are still keeping me on my restrictions. And have said when the placenta is low like mine is I am at risk of going into early labor, delivering a premmie, and having an emergency C-section. I have to go back in 8 weeks to check on the baby and me. My baby is strong, and I am gonna fight like I have been doing every week.
And by the way, my genetic test was correct. They told me it was a girl, and the ultrasound has confirmed!

Forged movie review
An ex-thug and his son attempt to find a way to move past impossible circumstances to forge a bond that has been forever broken by the murder of the child's mother.
Film Synopsis:
Set in the cold and rusty steel mill town of Scranton, Pennsylvania, FORGED follows Chuco (Manny Perez) on his quest to redeem himself committing a horrific sin — the murder of his wife. After Chuco’s release from prison, his now 13-year-old, abused and homeless son, Machito (David Castro), seeks him out and simply mutters: “You killed my mother. Now I kill you.” As Chuco’s guilt and Machito’s need for a father take hold, they must both find a way to move past impossible circumstances to forge a bond that has been forever broken.
Engulfed by a bleak and lonely air, FORGED tells a profound, introverted story that is both exhilarating and heartfelt — an exploration into the deep bonds of family when one man’s search for redemption might beg for more than he can give.
My thoughts-I am going to warn you that this is a racy movie. It has alot of scenes and issues I would not have my son see. With that said, it is a movie that takes us into a very different world that is not peaches and cream. The movie unveils how the past comes to haunt us, and how actions have reactions. It is a film that leaves you wondering, take that for what its worth my own opinion. If you like this kind of movies, then add this one to your list.

Welcome to Benavides, Texas, where petite girls can deadlift 280 pounds, military recruiters roam high school halls, and a patriotic Mexican-American community that has been there since before it was Texas struggles with an economy literally collapsing around it. Luz Garcia wants out, and powerlifting is her ticket. It's all or nothing for her . . . until nothing stares her in the face
In a small south Texas town, there aren’t many career options for young people besides oil rigs, the military, or fast-food restaurants. Luz Garcia, a fiery high-school athlete, is determined to forge a different future; she’s gained admission to the University of Texas at Austin. The problem is she can’t afford to go. With her one shot at a scholarship riding on the state power lifting championship, she sees no choice but to bend the rules to ensure her victory. Although Luz’s rashness and frustration land her in increasingly hotter water, they also fuel her with courage and empowerment.

My thoughts-I really like this movie. It was inspirational to me. It took me back to high school and my struggle to get to college. Community college was not good enough for me, and I too wanted to attend University of Texas on scholarship. It shows how Latinos/Latinas have family issues that stop them from going to college right from the start. How no matter what you do, you feel like you are not going anywhere. It is a great story line. But in the end Luz's struggle and fight does it pay off, check out the movie to see what happens...

iT'Z Family Food and Fun review

iT’Z has an all-you-can-eat buffet, arcade games, bowling, rides, and much, much more! Buffet and drink purchase is required to enter.

Our thoughts-As a parent, I loved the open buffet. Do you have kids who never want to eat when it's time to eat, or as soon as they see games, they are no longer hungry? At iT'Z, they can eat when ever they want. Play, and then eat, or eat, and then play. They have a great buffet. We enjoyed all the games. The kids really like the bowling. It was just their size balls, and lanes with bumpers! The laser tag was lots of fun for the boys too. We have an awesome time, there was so much to do. I don't think we were able to get to everything so we will be making a trip back.
