Fitness Friday-Green Smoothie Recipe

It's Fitness Friday!! Woohoo!!  So today I decided to tackle the green smoothie.  I am hearing more and more about how beneficial it is and how much energy and nutrients I can get.  So I searched on the internet and I also looked at some bloggers recipes, but here is the thing, I always work with what I got.  So for directions, I followed the Make Your Own Green Smoothie Recipe  and here is what I came up with.

1/2 cup of celery (I used the leaves part and sliced it up)
1/2 cup of carrots (I sliced up 2 very small carrots, left the skin)
1/2 cup of pineapples (I used frozen pineaples)
1 Granny Smith apple (minus the slice I gave my daughte, and the core)
1 cup of water
1/4 of raw honey

So I looked around at what I had available, and the above items is what I found.  I sliced up everything.  Check out how pretty the colors are in the blender:
Put all the ingredients in the blender.  Added the water.  Blended it.  Voila I have my first green smoothie or slushie to start my day with.

Results-I had to add a little bit of organic sugar for taste.  Also, I would have blended it longer, if it did not sent my child into convulsions every time we turned the blender on.  Next time I will try a different combo, and alot less celery.  By the way, it was good.

Have you ever made a green smoothie?  Do you have a favorite recipe?
