Fitness Friday-I Am Giving Up on Giving Up
So many of you are giving up things for Lent. I am not Catholic but I like the idea of having to give something up for 40 days. So I was thinking what can I give up for 40 days. I could give up food for 40 days and just go on a liquid diet but then when I start to eat food again, then what? I would give up bread, ice cream, and chocolate, yeah I am allergic to all that. Already gave it up for life...lol. So I thought the point is to commit to something for 40 days. So instead of giving something up, committing to do something. So I told myself I am giving up, on giving up on myself. I am committing to 40 days of exercise. Everyday doing something different and having fun doing it.
Day #1-Jillian Michael's Hard Body DVD -45 minutes beginner mode
Day #2-Gym -Elliptical, Stair Master, Bike, Treadmill, Zumba
Day #3-Slept -Did you know you are burning calories while you sleep? You need to be properly rested, so catch up on that sleep you are missing.
Day #4 -Gym -Elliptical, Body Pump
Day #5 -1 mile walk while carrying my 21 lb daughter
Day #6 -3 mile run
Everyday I am trying out a different routine, or exercise. Every week, I will switch maybe the order or day I do it on. The point is sxtarting the commitment and learning what I like to do.
