Ice at the Galleria Hosts Spring Break Ice Skating Camp

Ice rink hosts accelerated learn to skate camp during spring break
Houston, TX – February 28, 2013 – Spring break is a great time to keep kids active with an accelerated Learn to Skate camp at Ice at the Galleria. The camp, which runs from March 11 to 15, will feature scavenger hunts, build your own ice cream sundae, karaoke, on-ice games and dancing, arts and crafts, movies, and much more. Campers will even have the opportunity to skate with Chillsworth the penguin on the ice!
Half and full day options are available to fit the schedules of all campers. The full day camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the half day option runs from 9 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m. Campers will participate in daily on-ice skating lessons, off-ice classes and free skate time in a safe environment that is fully supervised by Ice at the Galleria’s first aid and CPR certified staff.
“We’re looking forward to teaching beginners how to ice skate during spring break this year,” said Elizabeth Griffith, General Manager of the Ice at the Galleria. “The break is a great time for kids to have fun, learn a new sport and spend time with friends!”

The full day camp costs a daily rate of $80 or a total of $275 for the week, while the half day camp costs a daily rate of $55 and a total of $155 for the week.
