PeriClean Kids Toothbrush Review
***Disclosure-Sample product was received to review. All opinions stated are my own.
PeriClean announces kids toothbrush. They are rubber-bristled toothbrushes that are made especially for kids.
The ultra-soft PeriClean kids toothbrush is said to be gentle on the teeth and leave the tooth surface feeling smooth and clean.
Equipped with 81 flexible rubber bristles, the brush efficiently removes food and plaque-forming bacteria on the tooth’s surface without damaging the tooth enamel.
Designed by experienced periodontist Dr. Jack Gruber D.D.S., PeriClean toothbrushes are made with soft, flexible FDA-approved materials.
To learn more about PeriClean, head to the company’s website at www.periclean.com.
My thoughts-I have 2 kids at different ages. Lil Bit who is 17 months now and is learning about brushing her teeth and my 14 yr old who I have to remind to brush his teeth.
Trying to take a picture of her brsuhing her teeth was not gonna happen. But here is a picture of her noticing the difference between her regular toothbrush and the PeriClean toothbrush.
My son liked the PeriClean toothbrush. He said it felt good and made him feel like he got all the crud of his teeth.

Father's Day Gift Idea-Ford Warriors in Pink
***Disclosure-Sample product was received to review. All opinions stated are my own from my personal experience.
Father's Day is coming. Do you know what you are getting him? Are you looking for something to give him? I like to give my husband a gift from myself and one from the kids. I usually let my son pick out something he thinks dad likes and then I pick something I know he has been wanting. But what do you get a person who has everything already? Good question-you can never go wrong with clothes. Everyone wears clothes. Why not buy dad a shirt for Father's Day?
Let me introduce you to the Ford Warriors in Pink clothing line. This line has great items for Father's Day gifts, and these gifts "give back."
Items such as button down shirts, ties and t-shirts are available for sale at FordCares.com (www.FordCares.com), with 100% of the net proceeds going towards one of four charities that consumers can chose from: Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (DSLRF), The Pink Fund and the Young Survivor’s Coalition (YSC). This is my hubby modeling the Time to Fight T-shirt Inspired by James Denton. Real men wear pink. I love the way this shirt fits my hubby. My hubby isn't really a V-neck type of guy, and he was really iffy about putting this one on. But it fits so great! I love the colors and the fit. The Father in your life will too!
They also have ties for those that like to give ties...striped, pink, etc..
To date Warriors in Pink has generated $4,756,795 in donations from Warrior wear and gear sold since 2006.
Did you know breast cancer can affect men too?

Comicpalooza 2013
***Disclosure-I received complimentary tickets for my family. All opinions stated are my own based on my personal experience.
So I felt like Charlie from the Willie Wonka movie holding a golden ticket...
Yes, this was my ticket into Comicpalooza-The Texas International Comic Con 2013 in Houston!
Two floors of our convention center with so much to do and see in 3 days, my ticket was the golden ticket!
There was so much to do and see and people to meet. The costumes were great. Everyone was nice and even let you take pictures with them. I loved the costumes. I so wanted to get into a costume. I pretended I was Austin Powers and I had mini me...lol.
I was so excited to meet and greet Michelle Rodriguez, Machete, the Power Rangers...I mean my list goes on and on. But my favorite part of Comicpalooza was when we got to be front row at the wrestling match. I have never been to a wrestling match or much less front row. Being in front of the tv doesn't count either. This was my favorite part because my 17 month old daughter was so into the wrestling match. She was chantting, screaming, and clapping. She really enjoy the crowd noise and the match.
One of the wrestlers even stopped to take a picture with us...
This was the place to be this weekend! Did you attend Comicpalooza? Who did you see? What was your favorite part?

***CLOSED***Giveaway-Zim’s Max-Freeze Review
***Disclosure-Sample product received to review. All opinions stated are my own based on my personal experience.
Zim’s Max-Freeze® has reformulated its product to a more au natural form – it provides a cooling element (perfect for summer’s heat!) and is formulated with naturally-based ingredients including aloe, arnica, Vitamin E and tea tree oil. It does not contain harmful ingredients such as parabens, sulfates or synthetic fragrances.
Zim’s Max-Freeze provides the natural answer when looking for a product to temporarily relieve muscle or joint aches and pains. Many people find Zim’s Max-Freeze to be the perfect companion after working on any number of tasks such as working around the house, running, outdoor activities and everyday life.
My thoughts-So May 15 marked 1 month of Crossfit for me. I had never tried it and it has been the hardest workout I have ever done. But this past month not only did I sign up for Crossfit but I also did Bootcamp and Yoga. Crazy me thought I could do it all, but my body told me different. I have been looking for relief for my sore muscles since I am not stopping the madness. I signed up for another month of Crossfit. Below you will see me after my 5 am workout, sweaty as can be, but check out my knees. Yes, try doing 100 lounges with your knees touching the floor every time. Ouch! I would normally be super sore and in pain.
But check out the bottom pick of my knees, I put Zim's Max-Freeze on them. I immediately after taking a shower, rubbed them down. The cooling sensation took the pain away and made them feel better. No more soreness. The soreness will no longer keep me for keeping up with my crazy workouts.
Do you work out? Is soreness an issue after a work out? Have you tried anything to ease the pain? Would you like to try Zim's Max-Freeze?
Check out the Zim's Max-Freeze on facebook for $2 off any product. Or enter my giveaway below.
How to enter:
1) Be a blog follower. (1 entry-mandatory)
2) Tell me what exercise or work out makes you the most sore or what body part hurts the most. (1 entry)

Beechnut-Goya Baby Food Review
***Disclosure-Sample product provided to review. All opinions stated are my own from my personal experience.
Abuela and moms know best what a baby needs. And of course they are always ready to tell you how they did things back in their tiempos and pueblos. All you always here me say is, "Ay mama". I know my mother tells me all the time how they use to feed me mangos, guavas, platanos, etc straight from their land. I try to give my kids' the best. When it comes to their food, I try to get as fresh as possible. But you can't always carry a mango in your bag, with a knife, and a cutting board. Who really has time to puree the baby's food? It can get messy. It is alot of work. And after all that hard work, guess what? It goes bad if you don't eat it soon.
Goya is a brand we have used in our home. It is a brand that has the food we call our own. Goya offers a variety of authentic hispanic food. Now they have paired up with Beechnut to bring not only great flavors but healthy, nutricious baby food. It is made with natural ingredients.
My thoughts-So of course, i did the mami test. I popped open a Beechnut-Goya baby food Mango. I tasted it and I really liked the flavor. But that doesn't really matter, guess who liked them too? The Mango is her actual favorite. She finished the entire jar and was asking for more. That normally does not happen. She is really picky about baby food.
This weekend was a full weekend for us. I grabbed some Beechnut-Goya jars and put them in our diaper bag. I didn't have to preplan her food. I did not have to cut anything up. I did not have to puree anything. I didn't have to clean a mess in my kitchen. I grabbed and Vamonos!! A la calle se ha dicho! Really convenient and I didn't have to worry about the baby not eating it. She loved them!

Memorial Day - The Low-Sugar Way
***Disclosure-Sample product was received. All opinions stated are my own, honest opinions based on my personal experience.
For many of us, the anticipation of Memorial Day conjures images of hot dogs, popsicles, lemonade and pie. But as the official kick-off to beach season, it’s not the ideal time to derail your diet with high-calorie treats.
This Memorial Day, incorporate NECTRESSE™ Natural No Calorie Sweetener into your holiday menu to cut back on sugar, calories and guilt. NECTRESSE, made from monk fruit extract, is perfect for sweetening your favorite beverages, savory sauces and dressings, homemade jams, desserts and so much more.
Here are some recipes from NECTRESSE for your Memorial Day weekend parties and get2gethers:
red, white and blue Mixed Berry Yogurt Parfait
refreshing Pomegranate Iced Green Tea
summer-appropriate Carrot Pineapple Slaw
all-American Apple Cranberry Pie.
I can't wait to try this recipes this weekend for my family. We have all been on a healthy kick this year. I am trying to stay away from sugar but am glad the NECTRESSE as an option for us to try. I def don't want to ruin all the hard work I have been doing in my Crossfit and Bikram Yoga classes all in one weekend.
Have a safe weekend! Happy Memorial Day Weekend to all of you!

Maite Perroni resplandeciente para People en Espanol 50 Más Bellos en NYC
***Disclosure-No compensation was received. Informational post only.

How-To Look for Maite Perroni
***Disclosure-No compensation was received. Informational post only.
Maite Perroni shined at People en Español‘s 50 Most Beautiful Gala in NYC!
The beautiful actress and singer Maite Perroni dazzled everyone at the Marquee in New York city, in a very modern silver and gold sequined short- length jumpsuit, to celebrate her fifth nomination as one of People en Español’s 50 Most Beautiful. Maite was styled by Irma Martinez, ambassador for P&G. Renowned hairstylist, Antonio Rosales tells us how he created that wavy loose hairstyle to complement Maite’s look and how to get those soft, voluminous and seductive waves.
Get the Look:
•Step 1: To start transforming Maite’s natural straight hair, I applied Pantene Heat Protection Spray to protect hair from heat damage and prepare for styling.
•Step 2: I divided the hair on top of the head in two sections and used two large rollers, one for each side of the head to add volume at the root.•Step 3: After the top hair has been rolled, I sectioned the bottom hair in ½ inch sections and used a curling iron to create many closed waves.
•Step 4: Once all hair was completely wavy, I removed the two rollers and asked Maite to flip her head back to be able to finger comb her waves to loosen them up and transform into soft waves.
•Step 5: And finally, I couldn’t let her go without my final touch! I sprayed Pantene Pro-V Stylers Flexible Hold Hairspray throughout Maite's long hair to maintain the volume and seal the style so it will last all night.

Disney/Pixar's "Monsters University" Hits Campus with Music
***Disclosure-No compensation wasa received. Informational post only.
MONSTROUS MUSIC - Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” Hits Campus with Music from Randy Newman and Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia
“Monsters University” Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Set for Release on June 18
Opening Short “The Blue Umbrella” Features Music from Jon Brion and Vocals by Sarah Jaffe
BURBANK, Calif. (May 22, 2013) — Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” rocks theaters this summer featuring music from award-winning composer Randy Newman and Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia. Filmmakers also tapped the Atlanta-based hard rock band Mastodon to serenade one the film’s new monsters. Directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae, “Monsters University” hits theaters June 21, 2013, with the short film “The Blue Umbrella,” which features music by composer Jon Brion and vocals by Sarah Jaffe.
“We wanted to capture the college feel in ‘Monsters University,’” said Scanlon, “and music is a big part of that. The score and the inclusion of other great musicians like Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso [of Swedish House Mafia] and Mastodon help us convey a fun, freewheeling college atmosphere.”
Newman Scores!
Oscar®- Grammy®- and Emmy®-winning composer/songwriter Newman is back, marking his seventh Disney•Pixar film. The 20-time Oscar nominee’s wins include “If I Didn’t Have You” for “Monsters, Inc.” and “We Belong Together” for “Toy Story 3.” The recently inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member created a full Alma Mater titled “Monsters University,” establishing a recurring collegiate theme. “We recruited the team at Pixar Canada to record the Alma Mater,” said Scanlon. “We needed a giant crowd of crazy monster students to be singing it and the Canada team was great for this—the end result is sort of perfectly ‘off.’ Actually, the first time we recorded it, it was really good. I had to say, ‘Guys, these are college students at a sporting event, let’s mess it up a little bit.’”
Newman added a unique flair to his score, calling on renowned international drum corps The Blue Devils to contribute a definitively collegiate sound. The composer also incorporated concert band music to exemplify the feeling of being in school. In fact, said Newman, “There’s a little bit of Brahms’ ‘Academic Festival Overture’ when Mike is riding the pig. I like to think Brahms would be extremely flattered by his inclusion in the score.”
The score—recorded with a 112-piece orchestra—features a few character themes, including an accordion tune to help illustrate the less-than-cool status of the Oozma Kappa fraternity; a laidback shuffle to introduce Sulley; and the aspiring Scare student Mike Wazowski is often accompanied by a clarinet that, Newman notes, changes as Mike’s character arc evolves.
Monster Moves
When Mike and Sulley find themselves in the midst of a fraternity party, filmmakers wanted to showcase their monster moves—but first they needed the music. Enter Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia with a party song called “Roar”—of course—featuring an upbeat electronic dance sound that even monsters could appreciate. “We wanted to keep it funny, funky and at the same time a bit cool with a hint of monsters in it,” said Axwell.
Scanlon approved. “It’s really a fun song. I remember watching the animator work on this scene. As he played back the song, the artist at the next desk—who wasn’t even working on the movie—couldn’t help moving his feet. Obviously, that guy had been hearing that song for days, but yet the second he heard it, he just had to move his feet.”
Rock On!
Faced with the question of what a sweet monster might listen to during a free moment, filmmakers decided to push the envelope. “There is a great moment in ‘Monsters University’ when we thought it would be funny if the tunes were some of the most intense heavy metal imaginable. Mastodon was the obvious choice. They show off an unexpected monstrous side for one of our great new characters.”
They chose an existing song from the group called “Island.”
Serenading Umbrellas
Opening in theaters in front of “Monsters University” is Disney•Pixar’s short film “The Blue Umbrella.” Directed by Saschka Unseld and produced by Marc Greenberg, the short features a score by composer Jon Brion, with vocals by singer/songwriter Sarah Jaffe (“The Body Wins,” “Suburban Nature”).
The director was listening to Jaffe’s music when he began work on the short. “There’s such an intimacy to her sound that touches you right at the core,” Unseld said. “I always thought hers would be the perfect voice to make people care deeply about a love story between two umbrellas.”
Brion, whose credits include “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “Punch Drunk Love,” created a score that sublimely supports the wide-ranging emotional undertones of the short.
“You can see how Saschka sees things,” said Jaffe. “Everything has this life of its own. Objects in our everyday life are characters too. It’s really beautiful.”

ABOUT “MONSTERS UNIVERSITY”
Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right. Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”), produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”) and features music from future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and award-winning composer Randy Newman (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 3”). Check out disney.com/MonstersU, like us at facebook.com/PixarMonstersUniversity, and follow us on twitter.com/disneypixar. Rated G by the MPAA, the film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in 3D in select theaters.
ABOUT “THE BLUE UMBRELLA”
It is just another evening commute until the rain starts to fall, and the city comes alive to the sound of dripping rain pipes, whistling awnings and gurgling gutters. And in the midst, two umbrellas—one blue, one not—fall eternally in love. From Pixar Animation Studios, director Saschka Unseld and producer Marc Greenberg, “The Blue Umbrella” opens in theaters on June 21, 2013, in front of “Monsters University.”
