Giveaway-Spring into Healthy-Looking Skin

***Disclosure-No compensation was received.  Sponsor is responsible for giveaway and information.

How well are you taking care of your skin?

Dr Maria Patricia Rivas says, "Months of cold winter weather can leave skin feeling parched and red.  Help your skin recover by treating it with a gentle moisturizer, applied directly after the shower.  For additional protection and moisturization, apply Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 during the daytime and remember to schedule your yearly skin examination with your dermatologist."

April showers bring May flowers...and lots of sun.  As soon as we see the sun, we want to run out with our short sleeves and shorts.  But do we realize what the sun can do?  The harmful effects if we do not moisturize or protect our skin.

Ease your skin's adjustment to summer weather with these tips:

-Moisturize skin immediately after your bath or shower.
-Treat skin gently by avoiding over-exfoliation.
-Avoid the sun between 10 am and 2 pm, when it is the strongest and use protective clothing such as long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.
-Keep children out of the sun as their skin is vulnerable.

These healthy habits are for the entire family.  Help get your kids started in the right direction by teaching them how important it is to protect our skin.  The younger the better.  These are great habits to teach the little ones for them to follow and continue to follow as they grow older.

  2. I teach my children that they must protect their skin from the sun by using sun protector in their skin if not protected by their clothes. We use sunscreen and big hats and kids like it :)
