How hot is it? I know our skin is taking a beating this summer. As hot as it may be, don't forget to take care of your skin. We not only have to deal with itchy, and dry skin but mosquito bites too.
Here are some tips from Dr. Maria Patricia Rivas:
-Don't pick at your skin: Scratching or picking a spot will interfere with the skin's healing process.
This is kinda hard for most of us. Specially the kiddos.
-Moisturize Daily. Prevent further irritation by applying a soothing moisturizer daily.
I know the heat. You don't have to tell me twice. What I do is, apply after a cool shower.
-Protect Your Skin. Wear long, loose layers to help shield your skin from the sun's rays.
Too hot for long sleeve, yes I agree. In the Summers I live in sleeveless shirts but then my arms are not protected from the sun.
Dr. Maria Patricia Rivas says,
"Itchy, dry skin can be a major distraction any time of the year. Routine application of Lubriderm Soothing Relief Daily Lotion with cooling menthol can help minimize the discomfort from itchy, dry skin, leaving skin with no greasy residue."
