Whether you spent it with your mommy or you are a mommy, I hope you had a great weekend. Did you know that today is Mother's Day in Mexico, El Salvador, and Guatemala? And yes, we do celebrate both days. Feliz Dia de las Madres to you, if you are a Mami!
This weekend started pretty early for us. Friday, we headed to Main Event in Katy for a fun night of bowling, laser tag, games, food and lots of fun! We had a blast.
Saturday was Free Comic Book Day. We headed to Bedrock City Comics in Sugarland. This place, omg.....my son was in heaven. Turns out the little one was too. She wanted it all and so did my teen.
There was a wide selection of comic books for all ages. They had a sign that read, 5 per person. Here are some of the comic books we selected:
If your kids' love to read, like comics, or superheroes, then mark your calendar. Free Comic Book Day is the first Saturday in May.
Another thing happening in May is graduations. We headed to a graduation dinner to celebrate a college graduate. Good food and good times with family.
Check out my handsome teen who will be graduating next year from high school. And yes, that is my Lil Bit photobombing our shot. The College Grad gave a great speech about how you need to make your own path. Even if no one agrees with the path you choose, it is ultimately your choice. I do not regret any choices I have made. Seventeen years ago, this cutie made me a mami for the first time. Four years ago, I was blessed again. Being their mom is my life. You know they say a mother will lay down her life for her kids, and I actually did. I love being a mom, their mom.
Happy Mami's Day to you, your mami, and your grandmami.
The Weekend Snapshots is a collaboration with Arianna from 3twentysix.com and Jessica from The Reinvention of Jessica. Be sure to go and visit them.
